Dr. Roberto Musotto is renowned for his management of cyber incidents, including those involving critical infrastructure.

Roberto's career is marked by its international scope and diversity, spanning academia, government, and professional services. His practice is primarily focused on cyber, data, and privacy law. His expertise encompasses technological areas such as telecommunications, radio, drones, the Internet of Things, and data centres.

In his former role as the Director of Cyber Security for the Western Australian Government, Roberto was pivotal in developing and implementing the entire cyber policy framework to enhance the state's safety and security. He also managed the public disclosure of cyber incidents. His contributions include significant involvement in responding to coroners' inquest reports and representing the Western Australian Government on issues of technology and security.

Roberto has secured over $33 million in development funds, grants, and tenders in the past nine years. His global impact is further evidenced by his consultancy roles with international organisations such as the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), where he offered expert insights on cybersecurity and technology.

Roberto holds a Master of Legal Practice from the University of Western Australia, a Law degree from the University of Palermo, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Messina, Italy. He is admitted to practise law in both Italy and Australia and he is uniquely qualified to advise Australian organisations on compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
